In the last couple years incadescent bulbs have been superseded by LED lighting.\u00a0<\/strong>Before talking about the benefits of LED lighting and how to use it at home, we have to let you know what this kind of lighting is all about.<\/strong><\/p>\n

LED (light emitting diode) is a semiconductor diode capable of emitting visible light when an electric current passes through it. Among its benefits<\/strong> we find: a highly accurate reproduction of color, the lack of ultraviolet light emission and an efficiency gain<\/strong> of up to 80% over incandescent bulbs.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With these advantages in mind, we would love to give you some advice<\/strong> on how to implement LED lighting at home, as it is not only is eco-friendly, but also looks nice.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For starters, it\u2019s important to know that LED lighting reduces eyestrain<\/strong>, which is why LED lighting is highly recommended at work places, such as kitchens, bedrooms and home offices<\/strong>. LED bulbs are, as mentioned, environmentally-friendly, recyclable<\/strong> and do not contain mercury.<\/p>\n

The so-called \u2018cold lighting\u2019<\/strong> created by LED bulbs can be very useful at home. It gives spaces a homogenous lighting<\/strong> and is also perfect to create some highlighted working areas. The homogenous lighting is easily created with downlights.<\/strong> These kind of bulbs are very effective on false ceilings and create an elaborated effect of spaciousness. To decide the lighting on highlighted working areas it is important to calculate priority and needs, as the light will have a different impact on each. For the highlighted zones we recommend white bulbs with a clear focus on work space.<\/p>\n

If it comes down to the kitchen<\/strong>, LED lighting is a must: it not only a 15-times longer lifespan than traditional bulbs, but also has an optimal performance<\/strong> when turned on for long periods of time. LED bulbs in the kitchen produce direct and intense lighting without emitting heat and can be easily integrated in furniture to highlight work spaces.<\/strong><\/p>\n
