In the last couple years incadescent bulbs have been superseded by LED lightning. Before talking about the benefits of LED lightning and how to use it at home, we have to let you know what this kind of lightning is all about.
LED (lightning emitting diode) is a semiconductor diode capable of emitting visible light when an electric current passes through it. Among its benefits we find: a highly accurate reproduction of color, the lack of ultraviolet light emission and an efficiency gain of up to 80% over incandescent bulbs.

For starters, it’s important to know that LED lightning reduces eyestrain, which is why LED lightning is highly recommended at work places, such as kitchens, bedrooms and home offices. LED bulbs are, as mentioned, environmentally-friendly, recyclable and do not contain mercury.

The so-called ‘cold lightning’ created by LED bulbs can be very useful at home. It gives spaces a homogenous lightning and is also perfect to create some highlighted working areas. The homogenous lightning is easily created with downlights. These kind of bulbs are very effective on false ceilings and create an elaborated effect of spaciousness. To decide the lightning on highlighted working areas it is important to calculate priority and needs, as the light will have a different impact on each. For the highlighted zones we recommend white bulbs with a clear focus on work space.
